Classic Mixology: Cocktail & Mixed Drink Recipes

A Daisy is a Sour that's sweetened with a little orange liqueur, strained and then fizzed. (It's the orange liqueur that makes a Daisy a Daisy and not a Fizz.) That makes a traditional Daisy a traditional long drink made with a base spirit, lemon juice, sugar and orange liqueur or grenadine and topped off with fizzy water. The most common daisy cocktail is the Brandy Daisy, followed by the Whiskey Daisy. If you make your Daisy with tequila and lime (instead of lemon) you have a margarita.
